Great post Gregg. I did this two years ago now…not just with my job but all inauthentic aspects of my life. I simply quit them all and began a journey of embracing me, my dreams, my pasions…my authentic self. It took me half way around the world where I am now building my life on a foundation that is most true to me…from relationships to career.

In 2009 I quite a career it took me 20+ years to build, left the coveted title and decent salary. I was miserable. So miserable that I wasn’t even afraid. I think my life depended on that choice and I haven’t looked back.

Thank you Gregg for sharing Michael’s article, very interesting point of view.There is a risk in starting the business and there is a risk in being in employment. However life is all about change and it includes taking calculated risks.:)

The greatest thing about entrepreneurship is that you get to control your schedule. When you said that the thing you love the most about starting companies is being able to show up at school to see your kids, that’s reason enough!

I get butterflies in my belly when I think about it, but your so right no goverment job is secure and nor is any job that you work for someone else secure. At least if you work for yourself and can be creative you could create many streams of income!
